Eclectic (n)Europop quintet from Rotterdam. Interesting ideas, buoyantly arranged into strange songs in which fanfare, latin, free-jazz, rock, folk & chamber music take turns.

Les Ormores from Rotterdam: easy listening, more or less? Starting out with any kind of idea, they wrap it up in a carefully arranged song and throw it in your face in a pleasantly deranged way. Yes, they do make songs, unpredictable, bouncing in every possible direction, and constructed from selected material taken from various chapters of musical history. However, their take on the past is unmistakably here and now, post-everything, uncategorisable. Add to this the variety of languages in use (french, english, german, even dutch...) and you will understand why they call it eclectic (n)euro-pop!
Instruments: double bass, ocarina, keyboards, thumb piano, banjo, electric guitar, percussion, drums, cello, jews harp, trumpets, soprano & alto saxophone, vocals.
Line-up: Ab Bol, Guus Derkzen, Mariëtte Groot, Pieter Mineur, Pierre Verbeek.
